How to change a Nintendo Wii controller or connect another one

The Nintendo Wii is controlled by a motion controller known as the Wii Remote controller. When the Wii Remote controller needs to be replaced, a new one can be set up. All new controllers must be synced to work with a console, since they will be connected with one particular Wii until they have been synced elsewhere. Of course if you wish to have 2-players on a Wii, sync both Wiimotes up to the Wii. This procedure is very simple, once you know the locations of the sync buttons.

A.How to change a Nintendo Wii controller?
1.Turn off both the Wii console and Wii Remote. If both are on, press and hold the "power" button on the top left of the controller. This will power down the system and the remote.
2.Roll off the protective sleeve that surrounds the old Wii Remote. You can reuse it on a new Wii Remote.
3.Remove the battery cover and take out the batteries. If the batteries have not been drained, you can use them in the new Wii Remote or another device. Discard the old remote.
4.Place batteries into the back of the new Wii Remote. Do not replace the battery cover yet. You first need to sync the controller with the system.
5.Turn on the Wii console and allow it to fully load. Flip open the cover of the SD card slot. This is located directly under the disc slot if your Wii is placed horizontally, or to the left of the disc slot if the Wii is standing on its side. Opening the cover will reveal a place to insert SD memory cards as well as a red button similar to the one under the battery cover of the Wii Remote.
6.Press the red button on the Wii Remote. The four blue lights on the front of the controller will begin flashing. When this occurs, press the red button on the Wii console. The syncing process will begin. Upon completion, the lights will stop flashing and only one will be illuminated.
7.Replace the battery cover, place the Wii Remote in a protective sleeve and it will be ready for use.
B.How to set 2 Players on a Nintendo Wii controller?
1.Turn on your Wii.
2.Find your Wii's red sync button, which is located under the Wii's SD slot cover in front of the system.
3.Find the red sync buttons on your Wiimotes, which are under the battery cover on the back of your Wiimotes.
4.Press and release the Wii sync button. Then press and release the Wiimote sync buttons.
5.Wait for the player lights, located at the bottom front of the Wiimotes, to stop blinking. Once they have stopped, both Wiimotes should be synced and ready for play with the Wii.
